How do I join WWFCU?
We have a community charter. This means we have a geographical boundary. If you live or work in our geographical boundary, you are eligible to become a member. Our geographical boundary includes all City of Wayne and Westland residents and employees. We do have some church and employee groups not located in this geographical boundary, who are still included in our field of membership. If you’re unsure, give us a call or send us an e-mail. We will let you know your eligibility status.
How much does it cost to open an account?
We require a $5 minimum deposit to your account and a $20 minimum deposit to open a checking account. We ask that you stop by our office to open your account. Be sure to bring valid identification so our financial relationship can start immediately. We value all of our members and strive to keep their financial health our main concern.
Up to what amount are my deposits insured?
Your deposits are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund.
How can I speed up the loan process?
1. The purpose of the loan must be stated. Since credit unions are chartered to grant loans to their members for profit and productive purposes, this information is necessary.
2. Complete names, addresses and phone numbers for at least two references, one related and one not related.
3. A current and complete listing of all your debts, including to whom owed, balances, payment amounts, and account numbers. Be sure to include all credit cards and your credit union loans.
4. Written verification of your employment and income. This can be a letter from your employer or copies of two recent pay stubs or copies of your last W-2 form. If you are self employed, we will require copies of your last two years 1040 tax returns.
5. Supply full dealer write-up when applying for a new vehicle loan. When applying for a used vehicle loan, please provide information regarding year, make, model, mileage, engine size and all options.
6. If you are currently delinquent, or have previous past-due credit that will appear on your credit report, be sure to tell us the reason so that this may be taken into consideration.
